Starting Right Fielder for the Chicago Cubs- Bryce Harper
The past 24 Hours in the baseball world has been a crazy roller coaster. From the Bash Brothers in the Bronx to Trout finally getting some much needed help out in LA. Am i going to talk about those though? Nope. But what I am going to talk about may stir the pot and get people thinking about what could happen later this off season or in the course of this next season.
The 2019 free agent class is one that everyone is going to watch and could change almost every team in the league. With big names like Altuve, McCutchen, Kinsler, Bumgardner, and Kershaw. But the guy i'm going to look at is Harper.
At the start of his career I wasn't his biggest fan. it was awesome that he got to were he is and is so young but come on nobody my age should be making that much money. i never thought that he would leave Washington. after looking though i think he could end up being a Cub. thats right a Cub.
Follow me now, Harpers childhood friend is Kris Bryant the starting third baseman for the Cubs. If you follow either of them on any social media when both are back home they are always doing things together. So just right there thats a huge reason to go
end up in Chicago. Just like how D-Wade made the move to Cleveland this year to play with Lebron. Friends like playing
together.
Second, another free agent in this class is current Cubs right fielder Jason Haywerd. That though is if he wants to opt out of the last 5 years of his current contract and leaving 105 million dollars on the table. While Haywed maybe a better defensive player winning the National League Golden Glove for the out field the last 4 years his offensive numbers aren't what Harpers have been over that same span.
The last thing I am looking at is a bit farther down the road. In a few years another Vegas native will become a Free Agent. This one I know oh so well being a Rangers fan. That guy would be Joey Gallo. Yep, thats if you didn't know these three all grew up together, in fact they all played on the same little league team together at one point. So who wouldn't want to play with two of your childhood friends on the big stage of the MLB acting like you were those 12 year olds on the little league field.
