The True Bowl Game of Frisco, Texas
Its Bowl Season. Its National Championship Season. And its Play-Off Season. The FCS has been in their post season since the beginning of December. What started with 24 teams is down to its finally two. These two are what everyone that follows the FCS wanted. Number 1 vs Number 2. James Madison the defending National Champ vs North Dakota State the FCS Juggernaut that won 5 straight until James Madison nocked them off last year.
James Madison is coming into the game with a 14-0 record and a 26 game win streak dating back to September 2016. With the 8th ranked scoring offense in the country and 3rd total defense this year it has been almost impossible to stop or get anything going against them. Out-scoring their opponents an average of 36-11 through out the season even their close games have not been that close.
North Dakota State comes into the game with a 13-1 recored with that one loss coming from the team that James Madison beat in the Semi-Finals South Dakota State. With the Number 2 scoring offense in the country and the Number 1 total defense the fact that they even have one loss is crazy. Winning games by an average of 40-12 every game has been a blow out.
The one thing that James Madison has to really pre for is the home field advantage. North Dakota State fans call Frisco, Texas the Fargo of the south for a reason. You don't go 5 years in a row and then win 5 years in a row and not have your fans show up. If you live in Frisco and go out during this week you will see the town magically turn to green and gold. Even then its not just the fans that travel. North Dakota State has basically become the home team for any Frisco fan that likes to watch football. Think about it no other team in that area is any good at football (Sorry TCU bring in a National Championship and then we will see).
At the end of the day this game is going to be one of the best games of this college bowl season. Yep, i'm making that big of a statement. North Dakota State has something to prove after last years game. James Madison wants to show that the game was no fluke and to start their own run at the National Championship. With two of the best teams in all of division on football that includes FBS and FCS this game is really going to be a toss up.
