The #Jucoroute Team of the Week: Grayson

You go 3-1 with your only loss coming from a top 10 team and every win is against a top 10 team how can you not be the team of the week?

Well, that is exactly what Grayson did this past week. Playing all 3 games against top 10 teams and coming out with a .750 win percentage. Come on now.

To start the week off they played #1 San Jac in a game at Sam Houston. This game spanned 14 innings delaying the Sam Houston vs Wright State game that was happening after. The final run was off of a wild pitch in the top of the 14th allowing Ty Jones to score.

Their second game of the week was against then #7 Howard. In the Second they jumped out to a 4-1 lead but Howard clawed their way back in and won the game 6-4.

Saturday they had a doubleheader to finish off their series with Howard. In game 1 after a poor start for Braxton Webb walking 7 guys in the just 2/3 of an inning, T.J. Mullins came in and there was no answer. Going 5.1 of scoreless relief while striking out 6. This game was broken wide open in the 4th when Cordell Dunn Jr hit a grand slam to put the Vikings in the lead. The won the game 12-7.

To end the week the beat Howard for the second time by the score of 7-4. Gabe Constantine had a great day on the mound going 5 innings striking out 6 while only giving up 1 run.

This week jumped the Vikings up from #24 to #18
