The #jucoroute Team of the Week
Cisco College Wranglers- 3-1 (41-6)
Cisco had the hottest start to a season this year. Going on a 25-Game Win streak to start the season not losing till the middle of march. Currently they are ranked #3 in the Country.
This past week they played had a 4-game series with McLennan who was ranked #5 at the time. Despite McLennan outscoring Cisco for the week 22-24 they still came out on top taking the series.
Game-1 McLennan 12-2 Win (5 inning run-rule)
McLennan jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second. then scoring 3 in the 4th and 7 in the 5th Cisco couldn’t get anything going. Scoring 2 in the bottom of the 5th but it wasn’t enough to keep the game going.
Game 2- Cisco 11-7
Thanks to a great 6.1 innings of work by Joseph Sgambelluri striking out 3 and only giving up 8 hits and an 8 out save from Garret Cobb, the Wranglers were able to get the bats going. After being down 3-1 going into the 4th they came up huge with a 3 run 4th, a 1 run 5th a 4 run 6th and a 2 run 7th. At the plate Ryne Edmondson ent 3-4 scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 more, also having a triple to his name.
Game 3- Cisco 3-2
Cisco went up 2-0 going into the 5th and by the end of the 6th it was a tie game. After that The Wranglers brought in Tyler Munkres who went the last 3 innings giving up only 1 hit and striking out 1 to get the win.
Game 4- Cisco 6-3
with another great day at the plate going 2-3 with 2 runs Rune Edmondson helped get the series win. Along with Anthony Dominguez who had 2 RBI’s along with Scoring a run himself. On the mound Alex Palmer went 6.0 innings, Striking out 10, and only giving up 3 runs.
