The JuCo Baseball Blog Final Ranking


Well, that's a wrap. The 2018 Season is over and what a what to end it. Chipola out of Florida has won the 2018 JuCo World Series this past Saturday. These guys had to fight their way through the loser bracket after losing the first game of the tournament to then #1 Walters State. Playing 7 games over the 8 days in Grand Junction. To then go and Beat then #5 San Jac and then #1 Walters State (Twice) in 3 straight days to claim their 3rd National title and to go Back-to-Back, which hasn’t been done since Grayson College (TX) did it in the 1999 and 2000 Seasons.

Making their first appearance in the Top 25 in are Temple coming in at #23 and Barton coming in at #22. Both teams were in the field in Grand Junction this past week. Temple going 1-2 while Barton went 0-2.

Top 25 Recap- This season 9 Teams have stayed in the Top 25 since the start of the season. While 11 Teams were in both the Pre-season and the Final Top 25. Walters State is the only team to have stayed in the Top 5 (Top 3) all year.
